You should take a look at government contracts!

The FACTS about government business contracts and grants-

Most of the funds made available for small businesses in the Stimulus Bill are contracts and NOT grants. The bulk of the grant money goes to cities, school districts and other government or non-profit agencies. These groups will then contract with businesses to get the work done.

Government Grants or Contracts - What's the difference?

The competition for contracts is straight-forward; a government agency defines what they need, and you make the case that your business can supply that need - on time and on budget.

Grant competitions are more problematic. Your proposal often defines the problem as well as the solution. You may need to build a logic model and you are competing based on what you propose to do, NOT on how well you can provide a product or service.

Contracts are - well - really much more business-like.

In either case, you don't pay the money back, and in both cases you have milestones and deliverables to meet. You will also have to document how you will evaluate your results, outcomes as well as outputs.

Do YOU qualify for a government contract?

It not as difficult as you may believe to land a government contract to help expand or secure your business for years to come.
